History
Born Judis Morne, she had a normal childhood that had little oddities to speak of. Neither of her parents went to war as Marya North was a herbalist and Horan Morne was an apothecary, both of them working together in a shop they called Morning Brew. As she grew older, Lubrici learned her mother’s craft but shifted the skill with plants towards inscription. Training as a scribe, she was often hired by a patron to do transcribe work, translating different languages out of books into Common. When Archmage Arugal began his research after the destruction of Dalaran, Judis was one of the scribes chosen by King Greymane himself to assist in whatever the Archmage needed with his research. Unfortunately for Judis, this meant that she was one of the first that the curse was transferred to, witnessing the transformation of a fellow scribe before she lost consciousness.
She doesn’t remember her time as a feral worgen, other than fragments of disconnected memory, due to Arugal’s control. What she does know is that she was in Shadowfang Keep for some time before several of them managed to revolt and escape, though she doesn’t recall how they did it. Not long after their escape, agents of the Lich King captured her and several others, dragging them back to the Scourge forces where she was killed and then raised as a death knight. Any who met the worgen at this time recount that Judis Morne was an ice cold commander who was brutal to the living and did not speak with the growl she sports now.
When the Knights of the Ebon Blade were broken from the Lich King’s control, Judis forsook her own name for one pulled from the fragments of her memory. Lubricus, an old word she learned while translating for Arugal, meaning unstable. She also made the conscious decision upon her freedom to revert to the half-feral mindset that had been all she knew before she had been taken by the Scourge. Though she had been mentally broken out of it, she still remembered it and found comfort in returning to it.
Despite having her mind back, Lubrici remembers little from her previous two lives. Most of her memories are from that brief period after escaping Arugal, with little from her time as his servant and even less from the years before that. She retained her skills at herbalism and inscription but Judis Morne’s life is more mystery to her than her own history.
Since the events on Argus, she has reunited with her fellow scribe Berton Dallie with the help of Necronim. Berton was turned undead instead of into a worgen as she was and began a researcher for the Kirin Tor after being found by a Kirin Tor mage who came to check on Shadowfang Keep. His memory of their life before is not as bad as hers and he has begun to help fill in many of the gaps that she can’t.
